The Malabrigo yarn used to crochet the new free pattern "One skein cowl" posted by Little Doolally makes this cowl pattern sing! The colorway is Milonga, worsted weight, hand dyed
and incredibly soft merino wool. Each 100g skein contains 210 yards. Usually available at about $12.00 a hank, not a bad price for a single holiday gift to be treasured for years.

Amy Astle of LittleDoolally has posted an easy cowl pattern with great instructions and photos, only three pattern rows of Tunisian crochet that even beginning crocheters can make. This pattern requires a 5mm hook, an H/8 US or 6, UK/Canadian. English and American versions are included in the Ravelry free pattern download, but from this view, think her website posting works just fine, too.
